Generation antiquated

Three awesome things I heard on TV yesterday:

1. TV Weatherman: "It's begun snowing in the Lower Mainland, and we'll be tracking the storm's progress throughout the day because, as Kiefer Sutherland knows, a lot can change over the course of 24 hours."

2. Donald Trump: "Today you'll be marketing a new product from Microsoft. It's great because it works."

3. Commercial: "Come celebrate a Victorian Christmas with us at our annual fair, with over 500 historically-themed booths. Visit the Pepsi tent for your chance to win a trip to New York."

TV!

You'd better at least be watching CSI: Miami and Law & Order under the guide of studying.

Maybe even '24' if you're taking international LAW.

Yech, I'd rather study than watch CSI anyday. It's only Law & Order for me. They don't have a perverse fascination with zooming into everything. I respect that.

Dude, what kind of lawyer are you going to make if you don't hire a CG firm to create super zoom slow-mo cg time visualizations of a bullet entering your client's eye with full on intraparticle dynamic blood puncturing simulations.

A poor one, that's what.

The first four letters they teach us in law school are WWMD?

The M is for Matlock.

Matlock = 1980's
Eyeball Zoom CG = The Future

I like that the CSIs all have hair-finding zoom eyes. As soon as a hair is in their vicinity - ZOOM, and they see it. I also like that the lawyers in that show let the CSIs badger the hell out of their clients.

"Here's what I think happened - you killed her, chopped up the body, and dumped the individual pieces into slot machines around the city."

"You don't have to answer that."

"You did it didn't you."

"She deserved it."

Case, as they say, closed.

It's only badgering if they smash their nose in with the butt of their gun. Even then, as long as the guy is guilty, the judge will let it slide.
